This policy explains how Reckless Software handles information in Just Spades and on this support website.

Information saved by the game

Just Spades saves preferences and lifetime game statistics locally, including completed games, wins, and Nil attempts and successes. These records are associated with the game’s local or platform identity. The iPhone and iPad version does not require an email address, password, or Epic account to play.

Online multiplayer

Just Spades uses Epic Online Services (EOS) for authentication, finding tables, and exchanging game messages. On iPhone and iPad, EOS uses a device-based identity and a product user identifier. Desktop Steam authentication uses a Steam identity and authentication ticket.

The game may connect to EOS automatically when opened with an internet connection. EOS processes identifiers and technical connection information, including IP addresses, to operate and secure its services. See Epic’s data privacy statement and Epic’s privacy policy for more information.

During a multiplayer game, your player name, public actions, scores, and aggregate lifetime statistics are shared with the players at your table. The host’s device runs the game and holds its complete game state; each guest receives only the game information intended for that player. Connections may be direct between players or use an EOS relay, so direct connections can expose network addresses to peers. Choose a player name you are comfortable sharing.

Reckless Software does not operate a server that stores your complete matches. Active game state is held by the host, and the table ends when the host leaves. This does not remove local statistics or records maintained by service providers.

Support and purchases

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and investigate issues. Our support mailbox is hosted by Google. Apple or Steam handles purchases under its own policies; Just Spades does not ask for or receive your payment-card details.

This website

Cloudflare Pages hosts these pages. Cloudflare processes request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or contact forms to this website.

Advertising and sharing

Just Spades has no advertising or in-app purchases. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information is shared as described above to provide gameplay, hosting, and support, or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

Local preferences and statistics remain until the app’s stored data is removed. Removing local data may reset statistics and does not automatically delete records held by EOS, platform providers, or our support mailbox. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address the request and meet applicable obligations. Providers apply their own retention practices.

You can play solo without an internet connection. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information held by Reckless Software, email . We may need information to verify and locate the relevant records. We will explain when a request must also be directed to a service provider.

Children and policy changes

We do not knowingly request children’s personal contact details in the game. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support mailbox, contact us so we can address it. Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
